In the instances where experience and credibility matter the most; Lt. Tim McMillan (Ret.) is regarded as one of the most internationally well-known former law enforcement professionals in pursuing justice for civil rights abuses and fighting for equality. 

Distinguished Experience

Lt. Tim McMillan is a retired veteran law enforcement officer. During his career he served in a diverse number of roles including, investigator, crime scene technician, K-9 handler, traffic officer, Sergeant and Lieutenant.

With over 2,000 hours of accredited police training; covering in a wide-range of law enforcement topics, Lt. McMillan is also a Georgia P.O.S.T. certified instructor, who has taught numerous, intermediate, advanced, and independently developed courses to both recruit and in-service police officers. Lt. McMillan is also an expert on implicit bias, perceptional awareness, behavioral analysis, and cognitive psychology. He holds advanced certifications in interviews and interrogations, criminal investigative analysis (criminal profiling) and statistical crime analysis. ​

Lt. McMillan’s academic background is in the domains of psychology and mathematics. He is a summa cum laude graduate from Southern New Hampshire University with a B.A. in Mathematics and Psychology. His graduate school research and focus is in human consciousness and perception; in which Lt. McMillan has authored research in the homeostasis of optimal perception; Mitigation of consciousness-unconsciousness-perception and the ability to influence the one's environment; and Engineering Cognitive Influence. 

Additionally, he is a graduate of Columbus State University’s Professional Management Program.

Acclaimed Background

As a civil rights advocate, Lt. Tim McMillan (Ret.) was a 2017 TEDx Talks presenter, who has been invited to provide keynote speeches, participate town hall forums, provide lectures, and teach educational courses for a host of different organizations, including: civil rights and social justice groups, law enforcement agencies, political interest groups, nonprofit establishments, technology firms, academic institutions, community and church groups.

Lt. McMillan stars in the documentary films, "Walking While Black- L.O.V.E. Is the Answer;" and "Black and Blue – with Tony Harris. He has been featured by over 200 different media organizations, in 27 different countries; and has authored numerous national articles on civil rights and contemporary ethics issues.

Lt. McMillan maintains an active social media presence and blog, where he discusses a host of topics centered on civil rights and unity among people. His web-based writings, weekly, reach an excess of one million people globally.
