Never think that anything you experience in life is inconsequential. The good, the bad, the ugly all has meaning and that meaning is always for good!
See nothing you experience in life is ever inherently good or bad. What makes it good or bad is how you view it at that moment. The promotion you didn't get at work might seem bad at the moment. However, what if not getting promoted is the exact thing that motivates you into making a career change and suddenly you find your life is better than it ever could have been before.
Maybe every experience you have is never truly bad, it is only preparing you for greatness in the future. The only thing that can hold up your greatness is your willingness to have faith that your future will be bright.
Now, when I say nothing is inconsequential, I mean nothing. In the past, I've told some of my closest friends, never to consider the way you go home is simply the way you go home. Maybe it is the way you are supposed to go in life. You think you turn right, because it's the way home, but maybe it's because you aren't supposed to turn left in life. Who knows what would happen if you turned left, you just have to trust your life is supposed to go right.
On October 1, 2016 I sat at an intersection behind a car whose driver I initially thought was drunk. It was 7am, I had just worked 16 hours of what was supposed to be a 12-hour shift. I was exhausted and off-the-clock, not even getting paid.
I had a choice to make. The car was in the left turn lane. For me the way home for me was to turn right. However, the way home was not the way I was supposed to go at that moment in my life. Because when the traffic light turned green, I turned left.
So at the end of the day none of you would be reading this now if I had turned towards home and gone right.
I promise you, because I am evidence of it, simply the path you travel at any given moment might actually change your life. So where ever you are at this exact moment, reading this, consider that it is not by chance.
